Mark_Dj Is this what I should be getting from my 2.0 Turbo Astra Mk5 Sri? The only mod I have is a 2.5" cat back exhaust system
Matt Depends on how hard you are driving it Mark. I get an accurate average of 27.88mpg based on the last 18 months of ownership. How many miles have been covered since the trip computer was reset for the MPG calculation?
Mark_Dj Not sure Matt, my girlfriend drives the car through the week to work for the 3 days. Her work is 3.7 miles away from home. The car did have an ecu re set the other week, I took the battery off to clear a code the ecu had stored.
JohnnyN Sat in traffic on the motorway last night and the stop start 1st/2nd gear got me down to 9 MPG average. Once off and running again I was back upto 37 MPG. Also, £50 of V-Power got me 32 ltrs last night.
Matt Mark Dj said: 9Mpg lol, I would get out the car and walk home  That is one of the reasons I've started to cycle to work again. Saved almost £60 in petrol last month.
Daz Matt said: It will be the short trips giving such a low mpg figure then Mark. I'd agree with that...... Both mine and alys uses approx £50 a week and we do between 250 and 300 miles... thats 95% motorway driving
Matt Also Mark, the consumption reading on the MFD is quite inaccurate. Mine says I'm getting 29.8mpg average, so over reading by 2mpg
JohnnyN Don't say that Matt. I've just remembered that my MFD doesn't take into account my 2 extra boost injectors either!! :o :o :o
