Well the time has come again to take that long journey to the Holy Land of Courtenay Sport. Where all the landscape is flat and the roads are twisty and canals flow freely through the villages.
Its gone up to have the new Schrick Cams with Double Valve Springs and Collets fitted. The journey started just before 4am this morning and I arrived at 08:30. I loaded up on Red Bull and Shells finest Optimax and had a quick glance at the prostitutes hanging out around the petrol station, then I was on my way!! thumbup
The weather was great, so it meant that I could keep my window open to stop me nodding off. Had to be a bit careful on the M25 as there are 'Average Speed' cameras in situe. They look like SPECS cameras I think? I stopped at McDonalds for some breakfast just outside Norwich town center and then I was on the home straight to North Walsham. The ECU light decided to come on within 3 miles of Courtenays!! The fault code is showing that the CO is lean. Mark now has it on his list of things to do. After a nice cup of tea, it was time to catch a taxi to Norwich International Airport for the flight home. My flight was at 13:05 and we were a bit delayed so we eventually took off at 13:30. I was home at 14:20. 50 minutes flight all for £45.
So now its a case of waiting for the phone to ring to say that I can pick it up. Hopefully next week.
Here's some photos that I took along the way.
