Stainless Centre section.

Hi guys, I have a Vectra B SRi. Would I notice any difference in noise and performance if I fit a stainless silenced centre section with my GSi backbox? I know that if I fit a straight through centre I will get noise, But I don't want too to much noise lol.

Are the GSi and Irmscher backboxes just as restrictive as standard ones? As I've not noticed any gains in performance and no noise from it.

Can't speak for the performance side of things, but my Vectra B has had the centre section removed and a straight through section fitted before I got the car. This was mate up to the oblong letter box style irmy back box and it is defo louder than standard. Has a beautiful burble at tick over and a deep throaty roar through the rev range.

It certainly seems that the standard centre box stiffles a lot of noise from the exhaust system.

I also had a straight through centre section on my old astra (only for a couple of days) and there was a decent noise increase, but no difference in performance.

i had a straight through system with twin backboxes was a little bit loud :crazy: ,i now have a magnex cat back system on it ,it sounds so much better and there is a noticeable improvement in performance

i have a straight thro too, mines fine for normal driving but if me and me mate go for a tuning drive we do come back more than a little deaf! :wtf:

oh yeah never drive it to a funeral its embarassing!

Or near horses ... as they get freaked out and start doing the old buckeroo !!!

yep damn right your better off burbling past at 30, rather than drop a cog and slow down in my expierience the riders hate you a little less!
