I've been reading about how blanking off the egr valve may improve engine performance such as 'hesistation' on my car when I change gear and accelerate. If a blanking plate is used, what happens to the valve itself as it still has to be attached to the wiring plug? Can a solid plate be made so which is almost identical to the metal washer (which has 2 holes), so that it doesnt have any holes at all? The egr valve could then fit straight back on again.
