No water from wipers

I filled up my water bottle just the other day and tonight for the first time ever I have no water coming out of my squirters notsure.gif . The motor is making a noise but nothing is coming out front or back dunno.. . My car is an Astra H Sri

Blockage in the jets or a pipe somewhere ?

Most probs the filter is blocked mark.... if remove the pump and then the rubber seal, the filter is built into the seal.. give it a clean and refit...

Sounds like the rubber filter bit that's on the bottom of the pump is blocked. Very common problem. Locate the washer bottle and remove the small water pump. It should just pull up and out. The rubber filter bit can be pulled out too. Bear in mind that water will flow from the bottle once the rubber bit is pulled out.

Flash the bottle through with hot water and all will be fine again once reassembled.

You just get a sediment build up in the bottom of the bottle which eventually blocks the filter.

As said prob the filter I'm sure you can get to the filter either from under the car or from the top is ya remove the grill

Yes it's just had a new filter on it from Vauxhall, it should not be blocked at all notsure.gif

Have a look Mark. If they didn't flush the bottle out it'll be caked in shit again.

Might not be as bad as that Mark. Get underneath and have a look first. Might be a case of pulling the wheel arch liner to one side?

I would take it back to Vauxhall as they replaced it not so long ago dunno..

had the same problem in the coupe

i just put some neat screen wash in and it works the very best now!

my only problem now is that the water doesnt even hit the windscreen

it just sort of shoots over the top of the car :eh:

Well had a little look from under the car and the water bottle is not white like old ones, mine is black in colour so can't see much. My motor is making loads of noise but no water, I have no leaks as I had a little look around as the motor was working and no water leaking. Strange one, might take it back to Vauxhall as they replaced the water bottle filter as they said it was broke for the mot a few weeks back, and they put a new one on. :crazy:

Ah no I did not, I had my hand on it. Will it just screw out? Going back under again now lol

Well I took the filter thing out the water bottle and it had some crap on it, washed it in the sink. Flushed some water through the bottle while the filter was off about 3 times, then put the filter back in, topped it up with water again and now the motor is not as noisy as it was and water is trying to come out of the jets but not very good at all, infact I think it's stopped trying as if it's blocked again :crazy:

put the motor in a bucket of water and get it flushing water through

failing that replace it

personally i would take it back to vauxhall and tell em what has happened
