Everytime I turn my pc on I don't get the Bios screen coming on anymore. All I get is a black screen and a beep, when I hear the beep I know I have to press F1 to start my computer up. It's been like this for ages now, getting a bit sick of pressing F1 to start it up. Any ideas on how I can make it run as normal. I think this may have started off when I fitted a new graphics card?

Have you tried putting your old graphics card back in?

what manufacture is the bios?

once we know this we can diagnose the error codes

It's a Dell pc Dimension 9200, the old graphics card broke so we replaced it with a larger memory one.

I have a light flashing on the front of my pc thats inbetween 3 and 4, it looks like a battery symbol notsure.gif. When I fitted the new graphics car I ended up having a spare plug, the spare plug had about 4 wires on it. The graphics card must be working ok as my pc would not work dunno.. . It's nuts, I get a black screen with nothing on it when I fire up the pc then I get a single beep, I press F1 and the pc fires up as normal :crazy: . Can do a video if that helps lol

Nothing lol, I just know to hit it as it's a black screen all the time til I hit F1. I have removed the newer graphics card and it's now showing the Bios with the old card back in, but my pc now looks like the matrix, green lines down the screen as my old graphics card is not working very well. The pc is now not getting used, I am on my other pc and waiting to get a new graphics card for the other one.
