can someone help please, my 2.2 coupe is difficult to start after a drive. It will turn turn turn the a really weak ignition , whereas from cold first start of the day its instant start.
Also noticed just recently on idle its a bit lumpy, not massive fluctuations in revs but i can feel a gently rocking to the car.... and finally sometimes in 2nd coming up to 2k revs it seems to have a bit of a flat weak spot? and finally, the throttle body butterfly wing thing is oily again, i'm gonna give that a good clean this weekend (do i squirt carb cleaner direct into there??) i'm assuming these are all associated somehow!!
I've got the precat removed and the emissions light is on (im assuming this is because of that and not the above probs - or are they all related???)
From my clio williams days, we always had issues with the idle speed control valve and a squirt of throttle body cleaner would fix the lumpy idle and hesitation in driving..... but never had the poor re-start ignition probs.
I've done searching on the forum and it all points to EGR Valve, does this seem right for my prob? also, i know its lazy but i cant find the EGR blank off how to thread can some one please give me a link (especially if its got pics!!)
