Irmscher grill with or without? Pics

Does my car look better with or without the outer trim the grill comes with? The outer trim needs to be glued on and it never came with glue (Ebay). It's an Irmscher grill and I just can't decide what looks better notsure.gif . It was getting dark so pics are not the best

Get the trim sprayed and i think it will look awesome !

The trim is the same colour as the grill and the car; black.

if not i think that would tie in the grill a bit nicer ....without the trim there is too much of a gap like the bonnet is not shut properly . dunno..

The trim is a poor design, not much area to glue with. The trim is the same black as the grill not painted just a black plastic look. I don't think it's paintable. If I did manage to glue it I don't think it would stay on for long lol, the top end of the trim over laps the main grill, like an inch away from the top of the grill. Good idea if I do glue the trim on is to cable tye it all down and leave it. What would be a good glue to use?

Miter bond would be good sticks anything to anything and it's a 2 part glue . Or any epoxy ?

Just ordered some Tiger seal, heard thats good stuff dunno.. . Think I will fit the surround trim now

Tiger seal will be fine just few housr with some masking tape to hold it in place :thumbup:

Colour coding it may look good, a quick rub down and key, few coats of plastic primer / and then colour and few top coats :thumbup: Could be done easily with rattle cans as it isnt massive.

I am happy with the colour of the trim, it's the same as the grill and makes the grill look bigger if I fit it. My girlfriend likes the trim off the grill, not sure what to do myself notsure.gif . Tiger seal has been ordered but does it look better on or off, it's a hard one to choose :crazy: . Here are some day time shots witht he trim off, well early morning snaps....

The surround is meant to be pained the same colour as the car Mark.

Mine is not, you can get too different ones. One is paintable and one is not, comes with a black surround. The surround is the same in looks to the grill in colour / texture, does not look odd. I went for the none paintable one in the first palce so I could put it straight on. :razz:

You'll be fine with the tiger seal as well. I've used it several times, and it does stick like shit to a blanket :thumbup:

I like that! (Although, the owner of that car is slightly deluded! Running VXR Stage 3 power on a LER with an exhaust and powerchip)
