Hi I have recently joined this forum upon purchase of my 2002 Vectra B (As it states in subject) . I have a few questions in which I would love replies  Here goes -> I am worried about my timing chain,as I have heard a lot of bad stories. So I would like to know if there is any other way to diagnose if the timing chain is faulty etc, other than just listening for rattling/ticking? For example, If I remove the cam cover would a visual check be ok, or even give it a tug to see if its tight? Does the cam cover need a new gasket once removed? How can I tell if it has jumped one 1 tooth or more? What can I do to remove my engine cover? It looks as if it is held on by clips but I don't want to yank it in-case I break it. I dont thing there is any ticking or rattling noise from my timing chain. I am thinking about getting it done as there doesn't seem to be any evidence (i.e receipts etc) of the timing chain being done. My car has covered 88k. Also What is the correct name for the pump/sprayer/nozzle that keeps the chain lubricated? And does anyone have a part num for one, preferably one with a big hole so it doesn't get clogged. Also where is this situated. Thanks for taking the tim to read my story book of a post.
