Astra 2.2 running problem

Hi im nick and new to the site. I have a y reg 2.2 astra and it has started idling funny and has a slight misfire it seems like it hunting on tick over. There are no eml lights lit on dash. Can anyone help please?

Have you checked the obvious things like condition of spark plugs, coil pack, cleanliness of the throttle body, air filter and engine breather hoses for condition?

Also take rocker cover off and check the chain hasnt slipped a tooth etc...

Im having it serviced and plugged into Texa i d c 4 to see wat comes of it?

Came up as a misfire on cylinder 2. Changed plugs no better. Any other ideas? Is it worth plugging into tech 2? If so wat will this tell me?

if you have tried the coilpack then try changing the fuel injector on cylinder 2 :thumbup:

I think my mechanic only done plugs not coil pack. Is that still a possibility?

the most common reason for a misfire is the coilpack, but they do last quite a while normally

appartently according to Viking Vauxall spares in Kings Norton the chain has jumped 3 teeth
if this is the case surely it wouldnt run?
Also can anyone reccomend anybody to change the chain in Birmingham area? without it costing £600
