Daz Having been with virgin for 3 years now and having no issues at all with there 20mb. I bit the bullet and upgraded to the 50mb service. tis being installed on the 12th of march.. Free super duper router and free installation, and its costing me £1.25 a month more....bargain...
Matt Sweet! I can still get fuck all in my area, although BeThere have been great for the last 3 years, I'd like Fibre but no idea when BT will be in my area, and we are about 200m out of Virgins cable run.

Damien i aint far from the exchange either, probs same as u. I wanna move anyway next year so will probs look to move to a fibre optic area 😉
MikeS bt is twisted copper pairs that can be anything up to 50 years old virgin is fttc with coax to the houses
Martyn ive had 50meg for a month now with hassle keeps dropping every 20 mins got an engineer out and apparently their is a problem with their routers. only bothers me when im gaming online
Matt Do you have to use their own routers to support the 50mb speeds, or can you choose to use your own?
astra22bertoneauto There is 2 options now. Either their broadband modem connected to a router of your choice, or just recently they have been issuing their version of the netgear router with modem built in.
Daz I'm using there one matt. Its just a rebranded netgear item. So works well. However as stated above there is known issues with them.
