Battery light and now power steering ?

hey guys have a few problems with my car the power steering is not working and my lights keep dimming and the battery seems not be holding a charge been told could be an alternator??? cheers for any info

electric power steering on mrk4 astra 2.2

alternator directly feeds power steering and charges battery

need auto electrician if you are unable to diagnose yourself

vauxhall will charge you 100 quid

worth getting volt meter on battery with engine off and whilst engine is running to find out if alternator is working

report back with voltages m8 if you know how

well iv just taken my alternator and just won one on ebay for £30 so going put that in and see how its goes for £30 worth ago ay i let ya know cheers for ya help tho 🙂

Probably the regulator in the alternator as mine went down doing about 80 down duel carriageway very scary without power steering.

Cost me about £60 to get new regulater but if youve won one on ebay for that well worth it but should be ok once on
