Got round to stripping the car
this is not due to a chain snap, the piston rings went.
All parts are honest and have not been cleaned yet, they will be cleaned before delivery.

I also have a reconditioned head (new valves and seals 1500 miles ago) but i'm cleaning it up. and a bottom end, complete less the starter motor, water/oil pump still on & bottom chain still on. rings are shot. pm for details
