Price for a Air Con Compressor

Anyone know how much one of these is going to set me back for the SRI 150??

Had it in for a re gas on friday after work, they regassed it for me, but still didnt work, looked over the air con for me, and they think that the compressor is fucked, and has been for a while.

And they never charged me for the work, nor the re gas, which was good of them.

But looks like im going to need a new one, anyone got any figures for the part? and a rough install time?

Ah very cheap then eh! lol

Does anyone know the make of these? Are they a Delphi i think it is? If so what model, as it might be easier to find one.

Also, does anyone know if one out of a 2.5 vectra would fit in the 2.2 sri 150??

Also, does anyone have one lying around?? 😃

my air con hasn't worked for over a year, although i don't think its my compressor.

I have found some, but there all around the price of that one on ebay you showed me.

Rang vauxhall up, £700 just for the part!!!!!!!!!! Rang another garage, £600 inc fitting.

Garage said it would take roughly 3hours to fit, so im looking at about £150 to fit one. Plus 300 to buy one.

Thats £450 which i cant afford!!! lol

had an old 2.0 litre Vectra done under warranty (thank God !) the compressor had become porous. The warranty company happily paid the £1000 or so it cost to replace it, but wouldn't pay £15 for the lubricating oil that went in with the refrigerant...I was only too happy to cover that cost..!

your dealer is a tosser if they cant use epc properly or trying to rip you off,an exchange commpressor is about £280+vat from vauxhall

well i had a brand new one fitted to mine and the evaporator behind the dash packed up a week later so if you know how to remove them you could have mine at a cheap price - not gonna bother getting aircon done

Woudnt have a clue how to remove one sorry. Just found out of a place about 15min drive from me that deals in air con units etc, mate had his grandad's took there from getting recommended from his mate, so going to give him a try and see what he can do. Ill keep you posted.
