astra g lowering springs, which ones? help!!

ok, so im looking at astra g lowering springs and there are set for axle weights 836-935 and 935-1035 (kg) my axle weight is 935. so which ones would be best? notsure.gif help would be much appreciated. the bloke on the phone wasn't much help so i thought id ask you guys.

they say excluding sri models mike, does that not matter or will the drop be less or something?

basically the mean it excludes sri as the sri is lowered by around 20mm as standard

the 2.2 is no heavier than the 1.8 engine

So, if it's 50 - 30 it'll be 30-10 on an Sri with this kit?

i've lowered mine with those springs. Ride height is nice. Can be a bit low for some people (well in australia at least where our roads aint that great) but I think without going to coilovers the height is ideal and handling improved alot as well.
only thing i would recommend is getting lowered shocks/dampers as well for the front at least when installing.

Ive got a set of Eibach springs on mine with no complaints! Had them for nearly 4 years now.

Cheers lads, I was advised to go for the 30-30 eibach set, I was told that with out changing shocks and droplinks the 50-30 maybe a bit much. And I'm not massively worried about decking it, but wanted better handling. I've put them on and it has defiantly improved the cornering! When I can afford shocks and a rear anti rollbar I might go for a set of 50-30 and droplinks

I had the 30-30 Eibach set up on my old MK4, and it was great.

It certainly feels more positive but hasn't really dropped it at all, did you find the same and did it settle in and drop a bit after? ( not too fussed about the height just wondered really)

that's the prob with sri models that are lowered as standard

you either go to far and it sits too low or or that there is hardly any difference

as they are progressive springs you will find it will need time to settle down so give it a few weeks and it might be worth getting the tracking done

Cool, cheers mike. I was thinking of doing that. I have tracking guages at work. I assume the tow is neutral?

The springs themselves were shorter uncompressed

and it did take a couple of months to fully settle down

Yeah, same difference on springs! Hopefully it settles down to look like that! that's a tidy looking motor btw
