right, having a ECU from an auto model 2.2 SRi 150 in my manual is starting to do my head in!! the EM light is always on as the ECU can't communicate with the autobox, cos there isn't an autobox!!
Basically i need somebodies help!!
I'm wanting to buy another ECU from a manual complete with transponder reader & immob transponder chips. Now i'm not sure if i need the body control unit & the actual remote fob part of the key.
So in short what I want to do is borrow somebody elses body control unit & remote fob, fit it to my car & see if the c/locking works fine without the alarm going off everytime you open a door with key out of ignition like it did when i had all the parts from the autobox model 1st fitted inc remote fobs but not the body control unit as i didn't even know it existed!! LOL!!
I can come to you or you can come to me!! whichever is easiest for you!! I'll remove the body control unit from your car & fit it in mine then i'll put my transponder ship together with my blade & your fob & just to do the test then i'll fit it in your car again!! if all goes well then all i need to do is buy the ECU, transponder reader & chips, if not i'm gonna have to buy the body control unit as well!! :roll:
