urgent........egr valve

hi all,

have taken my egr valve off to clean........can anyone tell me best way to do it....also the oval bit at bottom that is connected to the spring, should i be able to push this in with my fingers as it solid and wont move??? ive been and ordered a blanking plate but it wont be here til next week,

Welcome to the site mate, good to see another Vec C. TBH when I did mine It was clean but if your unsure that it is moving freely you can test it on the battery by passing 12v over pins A & E.

Hi.I just soaked mine in petrol overnight. The eml came on a couple of times after that, but now works as it should.
