fitting new speedo

how eay is it to fit a new speddo

just think id like to have the coupe 160mph clocks instaed of my original ones 😃

I'm not sure tbh baz,shud be pretty easy enough tho,mark shud be able to tell u tho,

Do they just plug straight in? Also, is the milage info stored on the ECU or on the clocks themself?

the milometer has to be re-set by vx as the miles on the new clock says 23k were my miles are higher

ah, so they are stored on the clocks then. Just shows how easy it could be to actually alter the milage on our cars.

if you wanted to sell your car you could put new clocks on the car as longas the old mot is up to d8 ie its a few miles over the last mot

anyone got any ideas how much vx will charge to put the new millage on your new clocks ?

Im sure ive read somewhere that 2nd hand clocks cant have the mileage changed, only new ones can be set up to your existing mileage...

As for fitting, very simple but can be a pain to line up with the plug when re fitting as you have to lock the lever over to secure it in on the top.
