recent petrol prices have gone above 120p a litre whilst crude oil per barrel is below 100$ a barrel some 45$ a barrel less than the 2008 peak of petrol prices
we got a VAT hike of 2.5% in january adding another 3p a litre on petrol
insurance companies have openly admitted that premiums will be rising anything between 30% & 100%
we already had a 2p increase per litre in stamp duty since march budget with another 1p a litre hike planned before next year's budget as planned by darling this year
so within the next 16 weeks expect another 4.5p a litre added to current petrol prices [per litre]
i think we are paying something like 20p more a litre for our petrol since the peak of 2008 which is shocking to say the least
