iPhone Tom Tom app

I'm having the iPhone Tom Tom in-car cradle for Christmas so I downloaded the UK-Ireland Tom Tom app today in readiness.

Has anyone else used the Tom Tom app on their iPhone?

Nowhere near the spec of Tom Tom but not bad should I get in to any traffic bother.
Is it still around the 44 squid price range?

yer the tomtom app is v. expensive
I got the N-drive app for £5 - but I don't think it's available on the app store anymore. It's good software though, always done what I need and a bargain for £5

I had the tom-tom app when my iphone was jailbroken , it worked but not brilliantly in my opinion, but this could of been due to the fact I did not have the tom-tom dock to boost the gps .would be interesting to see how well it performs with the dock.

To put a copy of Tom Tom into your iphone does it have to be jailbroken, downloading a copy now but not sure whats needed.

Did you download it off the net mark ? If you did you can drag it straight into iTunes but the only trouble is It won't sync onto your iphone unless it's jailbroken I believe

I did, so will it work but not sync on itunes, or won't it sync meaning it wont fire up at all. Cheers

It will work in the sence that it will of transferred into your iTunes bit due to firmware upgrade 4.0 on the iphone this stops it transferring over to your iphone you can select it to sync but it won't transfer over. Also it's a nightmare to roll back firmware and in my opinion is not worth the hastle .

I used the app today. All seems to work as you'd expect. I used it without the cradle as I'm having that tomorrow and it was plain to see that the app eats battery power when not connected to a power source. At the start I had 100% battery. After 45mins use i was down to 28%!!

All in all i'm pleased so far.
