which battery?

hi, i havent been on for a while as ive been moving, and now with the cold of late my car has been struggling to start.
i dont know if the battery has enough oomph in it it seems fine when it comes fresh off the charger but soon loses its edge and i get a very lazy turnover which it will do several times with mixed results on starting.
i dont know wether i should buy a direct replacement as all my electrics have been changed and i already did this last year although at the time i was in a bit of a hole and had to settle for a cheap one from my local petrol station to get me going notsure.gif

im afraid i dont, do you seem to think a good quality replacement would do then?
can you tell me the battery code as there are no dealerships near me and i may need it to get home!!! :wtf:
is there a battery with a bit more oomph you would consider or no?

Don't the petrol Astras usually have a 55amp battery fitted?

i think they are 60 ah batterys notsure.gif is it probably not wise to get a beefier battery incase i melt summit notsure.gif

either an 065 or 075 shud do the trick...got an 065 on mine and its fine

i got a 68ah battery for my vectra that cost 70 quid

then i found o ntrade club it was same price if not cheaper but with a better warranty ofcourse 🙂

yep i had the same train of thought as the engine should only draw power from the battery
so ive opted for a 70ah diesel battery i havent had a chance to fit it but via jump leads it was fine! no lights and sterio turning off or anything fooking hooray!! :thumbup:
our new house is proper out in the sticks and i only have a 10 yard run up before the main road to bump it in which nearly ended in misery yesterday!
