Hi all - I've had my Astra SRI (02 plate, 78,000 miles) for nearly 2 years now, it's been an excellent car - fun to drive & very reliable - but I'm beginning to get the urge to modify it (I usually end up modifying my cars sooner or later). I'm not bothered about massive bodykits, huge wheels, drainpipe exhausts etc as I'd like to keep the mods subtle - I'm in the process of fitting a 2 litre Zetec engine into my 1985 Reliant SS1 & I'm aiming for that to look pretty much standard at first glance. So I've been considering the following: fitting a set of polyurethane bushes, maybe a polished/ported throttle body, Vectra C air inlet pipe, fitting a traction control switch & maybe a quick shift gearchange. I've found a quick shift kit on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT) for a reasonable sum but before buying it I was wondering if any other members had tried/fitted one already? If so how easy was it to fit & how is it to use on a day to day basis? The Astra's used by both me & my wife so what I may find acceptable she may not.
Any help/advice would be gratefully received 🙂
