gazzyd Right been a member for some time but haven't done this yet lol so here goes Had my car coming up 5 years now started life like this Then i decided (Which i regret now but hey i was young but put Graphics on) After that it was Wheels and Exhaust wanting Had a set of wheels sent over from Germany (Brocks) 18's got a Bumper as well from my mate alright for a Fiver lmao Then Time for the exhaust i didn't want something standard after my last one didn't last that long so went crazy lol After 9 hours and needing to go back the nexted day to hve it finished lol it looked like this So after 2 years thats how far i had got didn't do anything in the 3rd year and thats when i decided to take the Astra off the road as i had another car it wasn't going to be missed much. So time to get to work Stickers coming off seats are well not in the best state (As i have a very dusty job lol) Old New After getting hold of a set of Head lights and eyebrows time to stick and fit haven't done the other side yet been busy with my other car lol So lately i've got myself rear bumper with the Irmmy Skirts which is great they'll sit under the exhausts 🙂 As i'm a wood machinest i thought why not make a boot build done a few now so decided to start the astra one i have a lot of things to finish on the boot but i'm buying bits as i go along when it's needed this is what the shape will be The 18's are coming off to go on my Passat and i have the 17's which came witht he car (Vectra C Turbo) i got hold of a set of standard wheels too Both sets are going white as i write this As the car is having a change of colour too) After taking the badges off the wheels ready for spraying and the new Vuxhall badges coming out (Which i like) i thought why not get some didn't like the look of them as standard perfer them with the red in the centre SOOO..... 4 down 5 to go Also got myself a Lotus steering wheel which i had in my Calibra loved it's feel and how small it was had to keep it lol didn't like the cloth which was on it and as the stra has Red leathers now there was only one thing i could do so more messing about lol Finished Got hold of another Drivers side headlight which was great as i had a plan lol started cutting it up full beam out No need for that Air intake going in got hold of the pipe i needed glued it in put back together then the black pipe in trim down to fit done needs putting in the oven Gas mark 6 for 5 mins lmao should be stuck together then. Also got my springs But not happy with them even tho i haven't fitted them so Coilovers coming in the new year The car will be going for a MOT in the new year need to get brakes before it does and a Cat (some how the ct is in my Bedroom mmmmm lol) Got some polished parts to go in the engine bay. Also a re-spray which i can't wait. So with 2 years off the road it doesn't look like i've done much tbh most of the parts i got are down my works waiting to go on or needing finishing but there getting there 🙂 More to coming in the following few months 🙂
gazzyd I do have pics somewhere of the interior in but can't seem to find them looks like i'll have to take some more Going to fit the steering wheel this weekend with abit of luck Got a boot build to do. Thanks for the comments Guys 🙂 I will keep you posting Started the boot lid flushing the back out i want to keep it looking quiet Standard but different. So pinched the idea from my VDub Passat where the number plate light shines down onto the number plate I will take some pics when it's on and wired up all i can say is it's bright lol So as the light for the plate is coming from above there's no need for the light in the bumper so thats got to go lol Taken the Side spliters off so i can mark up where the exhaust is coming though Finished smoothing the Light out got to prime the rest of the bumper and re-fit the spliters Got hold of my new brake light cover did have one before but was looking a little old lmao And fitted My new 17's which i've had for some time now these are going to be white soon want the multis done first got to get tyres soon Couldn't resist doing a centre cap white just to see what the new badges would look like it's white primer too not finished lmo What you guys think will get picture of it in the wheel once there back Also the V is red now too in the Badges Pictures will follow once dry lol
blue_se2 nice touch with the number plate lights i have the same on mine :thumbup: i have 4 leds in the boot handle and a nice smoooooth bumper to polish showo..
gazzyd 4 leds MMM think i may have too many lmao think it's 15 on one strip and theres 2 strips lmao Police can't say anything about not being able to see it then lmao Going to order new plates in the new year Metal ones me thinks 🙂
blue_se2 8-) :lol: I must admit 4 leds are a little dim (still readable) but in the MOT book only says the number plate has to be illuminated lol doesn't say how much :shh: :thumbup: plus if ya get pulled up from behind the pig car will light up the plate anyway. Mine has been like that over 4 years now :shock: :shock: with no problems
gazzyd Quick update badge with the red V done Haven't done anything to the Coup she's kind of covered lmao plus i've been busy doing my mates door cards for his Corsa once there done should be moving on to his boot 🙂 Apart from that there's my mates MK2Cav (The white 2 door which was in Total Vauxhall a few months back) got to sort out his boot lmao I might get back to doing mine someday lmao
gazzyd same here mate lol even tho i still got the car i haven't drove it for about 2 half years something like that. here's my Things to do list: Boot popper to fit 17's back on (Need the 18's for my Passat 🙂) Headlight to go in steering wheel to fit fit my new dash (will take pics) DVD player to fit in Glovebox (To get) Another head unit Same as my other one (Which is in my Passat lol) Coilovers finish install (Could do with the car being down my works) Sports Cat (Might pass a MOT then lmao) RE-Spray and i'm sure there is more to do just can't think right now lmao
gazzyd Thought you wouldn't want pics of a VW As it's not a Vauxhall but here you go As she started Then at a club shoot about 3 weeks later In that time i got myself Coilovers fitted subs which are now back out lol got myself roof bars i do have a plan for them in time tho changed the plates to some private ones off the Calibra (B3BYM) My interior in another car i drove to Hull to pick it up 500miles round trip Got back at 5pm and by 8pm the interior was in 🙂 alot easyier to do the Passat than the Astra TBH Just one bolt in the front seats and they're both out and the rears just clip in This is how i drive her right now lmao low low low hehehe
delgado900 Niceeee I was working on a 1.8t passat last week had a rather nasty prang 🙂 the engine looks like it's mounted differently that other VW 1.8t's you should upgrade the inlet manifold and turbo to the cupra r set up !
gazzyd Thanks guys she does the job and at it was free (My old man gave it to me because i loved driving it) Delgado900 your right the 1.8T in the Passat is a different setup to other Vdubs not from left to right but front to back almost as if it should be a RWD. she's on 188500miles at the moment so doing things to the engine aint high on my list i can get a new engine with 350bhp fitted for £3000 but all in good time 🙂 nexted on the list is fitting the 18's i might have a set of Audi R8 v10 wheels in the new year which i fancy BIG TIME. I'll tell you one thing it's a dam good drive and it quiet funny watching 4x4's get stuck in the snow and i'm plowing on lmao (SOMEHOW) showo..
