Mark_Dj I now have put too much pressure into my boiler, it was low so I opened up the taps and I went too far. How do I get the bar pressure back down again notsure.gif . Mine is right into the red on the display
Mark_Dj Will leaving the hot water tap on drain water from my system and take me out the red zone? It's not moving doing this, the boiler is also switched off
Mark_Dj Martyn said: just bleed a few rads mate Will that put water on my floor? May have to get the towls out lol
Martyn lol no hehe then you would have to keep filling ur boiler if that was the case  . just go get a bucket and bleed a radiator
Martyn but don't bother opening up all the other rads just go downstairs and do one rad until u go below 1bar then close it back up. and fill it back up to about 1.5bar then bleed all ur rads so their is no air in them
Mark_Dj Bleeding one rad now, water is coming out and the pressure is slowly going down lol. I am bleeding it from the top of the rad, it's like a square shape with a flat screwdriver fit type. Cheers
Martyn yeah sound it will just take lil longer doin it that way thats all  dont over pressure it this time lol
dodger doesn't matter too much about over pressure as there is a release valve in the boiler which dumps out excess water.
JohnnyN dodger said: doesn't matter too much about over pressure as there is a release valve in the boiler which dumps out excess water. I've opened the pressure valve before now. Just dumps the water out onto the path outside.
Martyn it does matter because if you have the attitude were u think it doesnt matter to much then your gonna have boiler problems and we all know its expensive...... if for instance it keeps dumpin water out the discharchge valve then yeah your system will work propper but soon parts will start to corrode due to the constant refreshment of oxygen saturated water which in time will corrode the shit out of ur boiler and failure to the pressure relief valve . so it not ok at 3bar 1.5bar is what it should be at
