Hi all, new to this but would appreciate some help!
Mate of mine is selling a 2002 Vectra with a z22se engine, but there are a few problems with it and wondered if anyone could suggest what they might be caused by.
1 - oil mixing with coolant in the expansion tank
2 - dark smoke from exhaust
3 - car was serviced two weeks ago and is already very low on oil
4 - engine sounding a bit rough?
I thought it might just be that the head gasket was on its way out but would that cause the oil level to drop so quickly, or what else might it be? The car has done around 140,000 miles and the current owner is not sure what the problem is and just wants rid.
Sorry I know the above is a bit vague and I am currently unable to check the car myself, but would be extremely grateful if anyone could shed some light.
