Removing Head Off Z22SE Engine

Hi guys,

Quick question, im a z20let man myself but got a job on this week to do a headgasket on a z22se engine for a mate of a mate.

Only thing im after is the timing marks if possible? I dont have a haynes for this engine and cant get my vaux software to install again! :buffer

Any help appreciated.

head gasket rarely goes on a z22se, most likely is a cracked head :thumbdown:

timing marks are in the cam chains 'stickies' section :thumbup:

Hmmm interesting!

Ive removed the head and its gone top right corner if looking at the car, alot of oil there, piston was a complete state and the headbolt there was soaked in oil.

Ive got a new gasket so il see what happens, il let you know 🙂

sorry for the late reply, i did the car the day i posted and it seems ok its got decent power again and not smoking anymore.

it was a friend of a friend and latest i heard car was all good, il try find out tomorrow.

But thanks for the advice, i know what to do if it doesnt cure it 😉
