Oil low warning

Help!

My car is now driving me mad..... I have a 2001 Vec B (z22se) thats burning oil, am getting a new bottom end soon...

But i drove it home on Tuesday and the oil low warning came on. got it home and checked the oil and it was fine. warning has gone!

I was pursuing a Vec c at the time, should this affect the warning?

as your engine is burning so much oil,
wait until you have replaced the bottom end befor considering changing out other items
but as a warning you may require a new oil pump

i ran a car with a knackered bottom end for 18k

knocking a good un

just kept topping it up with cheap oil and made sure it never run out

soz for hi jack , have similar issue myself , so how would replacing oil pump help with regards to burning / using oil , cheers

It wont
but I am supplying a semi-reconditioned bottom end to yorkie200 and I am recommending that the oil pump is looked at at the same time. (as the relieve valve is prone to jamming in the closed position therefore raising oil pressure!)
