Xeons ?

Does my Astra mk5 Sri turbo have xeon headlights? They are alot brighter than my vectra c ones. They look like xenon in colour. It might have hids fitted, how could I tell? Cheers

if you have a lamp that looks like this

in you dipped then you have xenon lamps in!

they may have just put osram night breakers in and they are 90% more light out put!

If you have Factory HID's you'll have headlight washers and self levelling lights as there the regs on factory fit ones.

These are my lights. I don't have headlight washers on mine, not seen them work anyway.

Looking at this:

they look like standard headlights.

You may have got HIDs fitted. Check if you can see the control box fitted behind the headlight.

Aftermarket HIDs will go through the lamp cap mate. To make sure, pop the cap off the back of your light, twist out the bulb with loom. If the bulb just has 3 prongs on it then its just a standard lamp. If the bulb has long wires then there HIDS but aftermarket as your car didn't come with them from the factory.
