Coil pack pinouts?

Hi. Does anyone know where I could get a set of pinouts for the coil pack/distributor module? (And hopefully the signal levels/waveform so I know exactly how to make it spark). Is there some datasheet for it? (I can't see anything on TIS)

I picked one up off ebay that I want to use in a kit car (on a non-Z22SE engine) - I just need to know how to connect a home-made ECU to it.

Will it fit a difrent engine?as the spacing between the spark plugs cud be different..can possibly geta pinout diagram nxt week for u..

Its unlikely it'll fit directly, but I'm going to pull the rubber plungers off and fit small flying leads onto it. The engine is a SOHC Ford Pinto - the current ECU/Dizzy arrangement is rubbish (you get huge amounts of jitter), and with a fast road cam its not keeping the timing correct all the way up the rev range.

the z22se doesnt have a "coil" but has an ignition module,you will need a compatible ecu to control it,you would be better of with a coil off a 2.0 or similar but would need some form of trigger,all modern cars using an ignition module have a complex management system and use what is 4 single coils with individual knock control which have seperate control

Thanks. I wasn't sure of what to call it really.

I'm aware of whats in the Z22SE module which is why i'm using it. I want to get away from using a distributor, so will use my own engine management to produce the signals needed by the 'ignition module'.

It may seem strange, but thats actually a far easier soultion that using a coil - producing a circuit that contains both a low voltage microprocessor and a driver circuit for the coil which will probably have to cope with around 100v is quite tricky. The Z22SE module seems to take inputs of relatively sane voltages (I haven't measured but I assume its 5v or 12v) which are far easier to drive.
