Hello all,

I have a 2.2 Astra SRi and currently have these modifications...

K&N panel filter
Larger, Vectra Intake. Derestricted airbox
Ported & polished throttle body
2.4L GM intake manifold
Dbilas camshafts
MRZ lighter crank pulley
AEM programmable fuel control
AEM wideband O2 sensor & gauge
Dbilas 4-1 cast exhaust manifold
Pre-cat removed
200cell HiFlow catalytic converter
2.5” stainless steel downpipe
2.25” mild steel exhaust with Magnaflow resonator
Remus twin tip rear muffler

Have tried for the last 6 months to sort out the tuning for the car, but the AEM ecu cannot work with the factory ecu...

So I am considering removing the dbilas camshafts and refitting the standard camshafts.

What kind of power output should i be expecting with the modifications listed other than the dbilas cams??

Currently at the moment the car has 123hp at the wheels with the dbilas cams untuned...

you will lose approx 10hp with the cams removed 🙁

OK ill change my question a bit....

So if i had a standard 2.2 and fitted all those modifications except for the dbilas cams, i would only see roughly 110hp at the wheels??

Seems a tad disappointing =(

Surely there are people in the UK that have performed the mentioned modifications.

standard 2.2 engine is 147 bhp with all that mods u did it looking more than that

As John said, it's 147bhp at the flywheel (which is still a guestimate). Most accurate measurement is the wheel HP

standard car has something like 120 wheel hp dunno..

Thanks for the reply guys, i feel i am getting nowhere with this car...

If a standard 2.2 is getting 120hp at the wheels, and mine is making 123hp at the wheels cos the dbilas cams untuned have put the car backwards, technically by putting the standard cams back in but keeping all the other modifications, i should see an increase in power?
