corsa_ade Hi just rebuilt my z22se put new timing chain kit in but now after two days chain has started to rattle as if it is slack when i rev the car the noise goes away is there anything i can do with this or does it require a new tensioner?
vocky did you release the tensioner ? did it fall apart and if it did is the inner section the correct way around ?
vocky did you replace the balancer chain as well notsure.gif probably best to whip off the cam cover and see whats going on with the chain
corsa_ade No didn't replace the balancer chain as this is only about 10k old did delete the balancer shafts aswell though so i don't know if this has something to do with it.
corsa_ade took the tensioner out earlier and it seems to be stuck i.e. you cant press the middle bit down is this correct? What would be the next point to check?
