Noise under load

It sounds like a light knocking noise, and I can only hear it up to around 2.5K rpm.

I can't tell which side of the car the noise is coming form and being the glass empty when it comes to cars person, I'm wondering if the bottom end is on the way out. :thumbdown:

Any suggestions?

I'm sure its the other way round for the big ends mate, as in the knock goes away under load. I seam to remember thats what happened in my nova many moons ago.
