Hi
i'm thinking of buying a 2001 2.2 SRi 150 from a lad at work. It's using about 1L of oil per month. He says it's not burning any oil, no smoke etc & that there's just an oil leak clearly visable under the car.
He's taken it to a local garage & they said it's a crank seal. Now after looking on here i've found there seems to be 2 crank seals, 1 front & 1 rear. How easy a job are they & what's involved? Also how much do you think a local garage would charge for this sorting out? the garage quoted him £45 but that just seems really cheap to me if pulleys & gearbox have to be removed to get to the seal :wtf:
Thanks
