bit of a bump to an old thread but think its worth it lol
so the 14 year old draper expert kit has done me proud with all its stick and hammer its had during its lifetime its still a good kit 🙂

today i treated myself to a new draper expert 149 part kit 🙂

looks like a good kit. what u pay on that? its very similar to the halfords pro set (when its on offer its about £100) but your ratchets look better.

that T bar/ extention(i broke my bit off mine n cant find 1 anywhere) is it a 1/2inch to 3/8 converter aswell?

£6 less than this one on ebay 🙂 personal experience from the old draper expert set done me well for the years ive had it so was pointless getting anything other than a expert kit again
the sockets are funny 6 sided and dont use the corners to undo :confused:

i did not see before but just went out and looked and it sure is 🙂

6 sided sockets are stronger n less likely to round anything off, abit more difficult to get into tight spaces but good, that adapter thing is great, i used mine all the time untill i broke it, i sent it back to MAC but they discontiued there tona tools so sent me a different 1 that dies go on the T bar, n have been blanking my emails ever since(n)

Just went and got my halfords trade card.... They are also merging with euro car parts too in 5 days for the parts side of things

look closer at the sockets there not 6 sided 🙂 there called hi torq 6point there more like the torq bolt sockets they never touch the corners of the nut

What did you need to get the Halfords trade card? I've looked into getting one previously, but local store said you needed to be a mechanic or registered garage.

you need a copy of your qualifications and photo id
or something to prove you in the motor industry and are qualified

Used my business card for my remapping business. Its the second thing on the listing of what you can use..

The assistant manager actually said to me I need payslips or something like that showing I own my business and that he can't accept business cards..

until i showed him what it said on the website.. and he went oh.. ok Ill go get you one then. :-)
