I know there's loads of posts about this (with various people suggested around the country), I was wondering if anybody has any good contacts to do a reasonable price on replcaing timing chains in or around Merseyside. I live on the Wirral and my chain has just started rattling intermitently. It hasn't snapped so no massive engine impact. It's in the garage at the minute and I'm being told the delaer only, about a grand etc. etc. It's a 2002 Sri that's done 107,000 so I'm sure it needs the work, just don't want to get fleeced for it.
Can anybody suggest anybody as I don't want to:
a) drive it too far
and
b) get ripper off by the dealership.
Any help welcome... PLEASE! It's in way to good nick to consider shifting it on!
