i have 2.2 petrol, when driving my car it wond rev above 3500 rpm when pressing throttle gentle but when floor it it drops to 1500rpm and no more also not able to drive car far as wont get up to speed best i had was 40mph. ive tryed to fit blancking plate from vx but still playing up

help my car gets me to work .....

could be bad throttle body have you tried cleaning it or throttle position sensor behind the throttle pedal

It may also be the precat (NOT the cat) that has broken up inside the exhaust and is blocking the cat. This then causes the ecu not to lety the car rev all the way. Get it on some tech 2 diagnostics and that should tell you.
