Precat removal and what to expect

Hi folks, stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago and I think it's brilliant for getting help on Z22SE.

Anyway down to business, I've got an Astra Coupe Bertone 2.2 and I'm about to get the Pre-cat removed this week, and I was just wondering what to expect e.g will I feel a difference in Acceleration/top end. rallygif

any advice would be appreciated,

Hello and welcome to the site 🙂. Once you remove the Pre Cat you should feel less flat spots when driving. You may also notice a different tone to the exhaust. It helps the air flow of the exhaust flow better by removing the Pre Cat. It has also been know to gain a little extra Bhp 🙂

after mine was removed i noticed a difference in acceleration, also removing the precat will give you gains of upto 8 bhp so not a bad gain for a free mod 😃

you cant go wroung removing the precat i wish i did mine earlier you will fell the differance and a sports cat will help out 😃
