What filter is better ???

Hi! Guys

I think much time what is better, to the z22se engine.

K&N panel filter , or carbon air filter (like simota) ??

Ive tried a standard air box, bmc copy, a pipercross viper, cheap cone and a Dbilas flowmaster

and the one i will recomend out of all of that is................

The standard airbox <shock horror>

Remove or de-restrict the insides, fit a large air scoop (vec c or dbilas etc) and a panel filter

Yep, you can't go wrong with a panel filter, and a de-restricted air box. If you want the induction noise as well, you can always drill some holes into the wing side of the airbox.

With regards to the brand of filter, it more down to personal preference. I've ran K&N, Pipercross and currently have an ITG in the VXR.

Maybe you have some photo ? How much big must be a hole ?

Drill the hole into the wing side , but in the center ?

I didn't take any photos when I did mine, but I drilled 2 x 32mm holes into the wing side of the airbox.
