Replacement back box Zafira 2.2

Hi guys, I'm wishing to fully embrace my mid-life crisis ( 40 this month !! cheers.. ) whilst seeking a replacement back box for my 2.2 Zaf auto. Is there a 'performance' part to replace the standard box available ? The current one is flaking to bits and needs ditching. There seems to be plenty about for the GSi, but how many parts are interchangable in the exhaust area ?

Hey some say life begins at 40! So why not get a custom exhaust made! Also get the pre-cat removed (NOT cat converter)

Thanks for that mate, yes thought about removing the pre cat ( what would replace it though ? Is there a pipe to replace it ? ) but sadly can't afford a custom exhaust. A replacement back box will be pushing the boat out a little too far for the current funds available but I'm interested to see what the options are. Cheers

You remove the pre-cat by drilling it out of the down pipe. Free to do, just needs a couple of hours to do it.

Cheers for that Matt - I guessed as much when I found the guide in the chat section !! Might have a go at that then. Anyone any ideas about interchanging bits from other Vaux exhausts for the Zaf or suggestions of how to find out ? I suppose I could find out the part number for a standard 2.2 back box and see if it the same or similar to the standard GSi part ( doubt it !! ). Cheers lads
