MikeS New Signum - first Opel OE success for NGK NGK Spark Plugs has announced that its spark plugs are to be fitted as Original Equipment to the Signum, the recently introduced premium sedan hatchback from Opel. This will be the first time that NGK spark plugs have been fitted as OE to Opel cars produced for the European market. The PFR6T–10G spark plug is to be fitted as OE to the 2.0 litre turbo-charged engine version of the new Signum. This engine – originally developed by Saab for its 9-3 and 9-5 models where it proved highly successful – was selected in its entirety by Opel for the 2.0 litre turbo-charged version of the Signum. The NGK PFR6T-10G spark plug had been selected by Saab because of its reliability, durability and performance. NGK has a long relationship with Saab, going back more than 25 years since Saab introduced its famous turbo-charged engines in 1976. NGK spark plugs were selected as OE by Saab because of the outstanding quality, reliability and performance of its products.
