How Much Power?

Hi All, Just curious to find out what the best ways to increase the power, and preferrably the torque, of my Coupe.
I've got an idea of:

4-1 Exhaust Manifold
Removed PreCat
Possibly a CatBack/ 2.25" SS Full System
K&N Panel Filter with the Vec C Intake or the Amazing looking Dbilas Flowmaster
Deleted BalanceShaft, while Im getting the Timing Chain done
Ported Throttle Body
Maybe the 2.4Manifold, if anyone can say that its really worth it?
And a ReMap if the gains are good.

Anyone help? And opinions please!
How much would I gain and roughly the cost?

around 165 bhp

cost would be about £1500 with chains excluding remap

Yes to the whole exhasut, also consider a 2.25 200 cell sports cat
Dont waste your money on the flowmaster, it looks pretty, but its just a fancy (and tiny) panel filter
If your budget can stretch to it, fit uprated cams (comp or piper)
Yes to a remap, they enhance all the mods

Is that all? 15bhp?
Tough to get N/A power then.
A read on another thread that the balance shafts gives 10bhp alone? Or was that abit too hopeful? Lol.
What about having the Cams with the uprated and filter intake plus exhaust and removing the BShaft?

all i advise is look what other peeps have obtained from spending a good thousand pound on their cars

Yep, tuning an n.a is a bitch!
The cost per bhp is huge compared to f.i

Ive also read that removing the balance shafts will increase power,
But consider this.....

you are reducing rotating mass, similar to fitting a lightened flywheel
it allows the engine to accelerate faster, but donst produce any more power
so how does removing the balance shafts produce more power?

all depends on the power of your car standard, theres members on here with very simular minor mods but are producing a difference of 10-15bhp and others that have a simular list to yours and only get 150ish bhp but then others with 180ish bhp.

basically if you want to tune your car, go for it but be prepaired to spend some cash, also try and get a rolling road figue before you start.

I See. I dont know the exact output of the car right now, It keeps up with CorsaB's that have the 150bhp RedTop engines fitted, though.
I think: Exhaust, Cams, PanelFilter, Ported TB and Removing the BShaft + a ReMap
See where that gets me? 170ish hopefully?
