Guys, im 28, bought an astra 2.2 3dr SRI Y - Plate about 2 months ago, its been making a ticking sound for about a month, so i decided to take it to a main dealer, to check the problem. 50£ down the drain....
i live in london, richmond, west london... the spanner monkeys at Now vauhall wanted to charge me 750+ to change the 1 chain...
however...
i spoke to a local garage and they now think 500 all in with a new water pump... both chains...
im wondering if anyone on here would undertake the job and do the waterpump to...
my cars done 93k , im new to the 2.2 sri astra... im guessing it needs new oil pumpy inlet valves or somthing, as they must be clogged... im not sure if the car will need anything else done it it at this age. any advice on what to change would be great.... thanks guys
