gunked up throttle body

took my throttle body off today after noticing a bit of crap inside the air intake pipe, heres some pics of my tb the inlet manifold is caked and full of this crap so whats the best way of clearing it all?

tell me about it, ive only had the car a month and have replaced and rebuilt the head and gotta change the rings this week, dont think this engine has been looked after and f**k knows how its still running, its emmbarising smoking the pedestrians out but comes in handy when sum arseholes on your bumper

all ported and polished now, just gotta clean the inlet manifold out, any ideas?

just leave the petrol to soak for a few hours or keep rinsing it?

I'd let it soak for a while. Maybe over night. If the TB was anything to go by, the inlet will have a mess in it and the petrol can do its business and break down the dirt. After that it would be worth flushing through. How about a long bottle cleaning brush to put down the ports and round the corners?
