Question about decat pipe

Hi peeps,
Will a decat pipe for a 2.5 V6 fit on a 2.2 SRI? Its a Vectra B 2001 and I guess it replaces the cat pipe it looks to short? dunno..

I wouldn't of thought so. its a different setup.

You would be better off looking for a 200 cell cat and getting it welded in. That way its free flowing and good for mot's. or go the 2.5" down pipe and 200cell cat route but can be expensive.

Thanks for you advice m8, been doing a bit research on it and I think its the same from the downpipe onwards. Going to look into this 200 cell cat too saves farting around when its MOT time :thumbup:

Yeah read the SRI has running problems without a cat. Not sure if the precat has been removed i'll take a look later once car is back from garage.

Lol yeah my BMW was like when the back box and manifold was blowing that use to reduce mature grown trees to mere bushes! Oh plug anyone know anyone interested in buying a E36 BMW 318is Coupe for spares or repair give us a shout :wink:
