Firstly, I know that "This thread is worthless without pics" so when I find the slips I will post them up.
Went to a VXR sprint night at Anglesey on Tuesday (Photos here http://www.vxrevent.co.uk/search_results.asp?championship_id=292&events=6501) and put my car on the 1/4 mile and 0-60 test.
Firstly my spec as follows:
LPG 2.2 Astra Coupe
Airbox rework on standard element
Vectra C intake
EGR removed
Skimmed Head (Recent top end rebuild)
Irmscher Backbox (Yes I know doesn't add any power, bought because it was cheap and stainless steel :-p )
1/4 mile 15.7 Seconds
0-60 9.0 seconds (As measured by driftbox gps kit)
First the excuses for the 0-60 - I wasn't giving the car hell, as I had to drive home to Chester afterwards and didn't fancy blowing my clutch up (like a guy in a VXR8 did on the day), was running on gas and hence extra tank in the boot.
Still the 1/4 mile time is only 1 second off the Corsa VXRs that were there on the day. I thought these were meant to be a lot faster than ours? Doesn't 15.7 seconds seem quite fast for a mostly standard car?
