sounds familiar! my mate changes car about every 3 months and his poor parents end up picking up the bills!
when i first got my 2.2 he bought a p reg mini (i did try to warn him its a rover but hey ho!)
when he found out his cooper couldnt have me in the lanes he decided to spend 8-10 grand on new suspension roll cages and highly tuned ceramic coated internal cooper engine, it cost him more like 14-16k as when they tried to drill for his roll cage a whole load of chassis fell on the floor the seems on all the body panels were fucked and in the end only one panel was left origional!
he kept up the payments for a while then guess who picked up the bill.... great friend but fuck being his parents!
oh and i still had him! 😃
