Mark_Dj How will I get off a plastic bag thats melted onto my rear exhaust tip notsure.gif , it seems very hard to remove by hand. It's stuck on solid. Is it best for it to be warm or cold? Cheers
Mark_Dj When the car was running the tips are very warm, the plastic was not moving very much. It's stuck on good, it's like very hard plastic
Mark_Dj Job done, I used a stanley blade, took some doing but it's all off. It was stuck to my exhaust very strong, very hard plastic.
Mark_Dj Lol, well it's not sticky any more. I seen the bag last night when I was out driving, I pulled over as I never seen it come back out from under my car, but I could not see it notsure.gif
JohnnyN I reversed my car into a bag of sand that my Dad had left outside my garage. I didn't see it, got out to open the garage door and the pipes were blissfully melting the bag away. So melted plastic and sand to remove. I got it off with a Stanley knife blade and then polished back up with Autosol.
Matt I drove over one in my old 106, and it wrapped itself around the decat pipe. I had to leave it as I couldn't get under to remove it. It eventually burned off, but stank while doing so!
Martyn heat gun but watch Ur bumper mate!! and use something like a credit card to scrape off i think no matter what u do your gonna get a mark so just buff it up when finished using that stuff auto-sol or whatever its called notsure.gif
