hi all, just change the alternator on my coupe, managed to change it with out taking off the manifold or the a/c pipes, its bloody tight but its possible, i had to take off the engine cover, airbox and connecting pipes. and also the coolant pipe to the engine block form the radiator (just the block end) then jacked up the car to gain access to the under side, after taking out the 4 bolts and the 2 connectors the alternator can then be lifted up and out with a little bit of wiggling, just wanted to let people know to save diconnecting the a/c
