Z22SE Chain only?

hi all, not sure if this has been asked but had a quick serch and not found anything.

as my head is getting done atm i think come end of sept when my car comes off the road i'm goin to lift the engine out and do all the work in my garage so the balance shafts can also be done etc.

question is, my chain has on done 3k miles so i don't want to pay for a full kit but if the chain is available on its own i can just replace that while i'm there.

can the chain be bought on its own?

as a chain stretches it elongates the slot between the teeth on the sprocket
so it is adviseable to change out all parts at the same time

ok lee, thats understandable. for the sake of the 3000miles then i'll keep with the same chain, as benny has said i might not get a kit now anyway and the cost is goin to be silly.
