Al_White Hi all, I'm in the middle of changing the timing chain; Obviously the timing marks have to be alligned crank / cam pulleys but when I turn the engine over none of the marks line up after this. Any tips / pointers? notsure.gif Many thanks,
Al_White I can't get my head round the fact that after a long time the marks will be alligned again? Wont the timing get worse the more rotations have be made, then cause valve / piston contact?
ATOM_X the number off chain links is not a multiple of the sprockets therefore for the coloured links to be realigned to show correct one would have to rotate the same number of times as number of links theoretical example large sprockets 24 teeth small sprocket 12 teeth chain 111 links thus 111 rotations would return to stasis
Daz as long as all the links were on the coressponding marks on the gears.sprockets when assembling it was correct
